What's the role?

As the Warehouse Team Leader you will take the lead of the operational warehouse shift comprising of multiple teams and processes. Working together with the rest of the Warehouse Management team, you will ensure that daily planning and workload execution supports the targets.

What does the role involve?

You are responsible for the financial productivity of the shift, cost, overtime and temporary workers management, developing cost reductions and revenue potentials. You will effectively manage the performance of the team ensuring fairness and consistency, resolving any queries and issues in an efficient manner. You will be required to monitor sickness, absence levels and timekeeping through return to work interviews and counselling and carry out the appropriate action in line with company policy.

You will be fully committed and support all LEAN initiatives by driving execution of standards and continuous improvement processes, whilst always keeping the customer in mind and proactively work on preventing customer complaints. You will ensure all processes follow Health & Safety regulations, eliminating any potential risks and ensure security procedures are correctly implemented to prevent any losses of inventory or damage of Hilti property.

What you need is:

  • Master’s Degree preferably within Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing or related fields
  • Previous experience in Warehousing, Transportation or Materials Management
  • High level of LEAN knowledge and execution
  • Ability to execute and train all key processes in the warehouse
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and SAP required
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer care
  • Able to multitask and react to changes with positive results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • International mobility for longer term career progression outside of the UK
