What's the role?

In this regional role, you will be tasked with developing, implementing and driving social media activities to targeted individuals within our customers’ organisations inline with our contact strategy – driving customer engagement leading to higher sales and profit and thus sustainably building value.

The role will be based from our Norther European Hub in Manchester

What does the role involve?

In this role you will be responsible for developing and motivating the Regional Social Media Community. You will develop, implement and continuously review a consistent social media strategy for various target groups of individuals within our customers’ organisations

You will manage, execute and assess social media activities within the region Northern Europe, aligning to our overall brand, communication and digital strategy. You'll define target audience, content, timing and means of communication for these social media activities

Teamwork will be key - you'll need to achieve strategic buy-in from local and global stakeholders, including liaising with the global social media team to translate global objectives, ensure best-practice and influence global strategy

You will inspire and enable Hilti employees in all areas of the business to use social media for a positive business impact, understanding the needs and pressures of local markets and the adaptation this may require.

You'll also work with the brand and legal team to create crisis communications guidelines, and will be accountable for the Social Media budget effectively, ensuring effective return on investment and management of agency partners

Our Head Office is currently based next to Old Trafford but in early 2021 we will move to state of the art new premises at Circle Square in Central Manchester. We will continue to offer free parking for employees and will be located a short walk from Oxford Rd train station and St Peter's Square tram stop.

What you need is:

  • Experience in social media marketing in a technical/industrial and/or B2B environment
  • Degree qualification in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Business or similar
  • Previous examples of developing and implementing social media campaigns from scratch, preferably for construction/technical premium brands
  • Knowledge and experience of developing and implementing social media strategies at an international level
  • Project management skills
  • Analytical, conceptual and digital communication skills
