Senior Business Analyst
What's the role?
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Regional Finance Hub in Manchester.
Hilti (Gt. Britain) Limited has its head office in Manchester where the Finance Hub for Hilti’s Region Northern Europe operates covering Great Britain, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The aim of the hub is to achieve operational excellence and set the strategic direction for the region, including identifying and taking advantage of synergy opportunities within the countries.

What does the role involve?
In this role you will:
Develop reporting solutions utilising technologies such as SQL, MS Access, Power BI & SAP Analytics Cloud.
Execute and develop further all required reporting activities for region Northern Europe and its sales organisations.
Lead the implementation of Regional and Local reporting and improvement projects
Contribute towards Global business initiatives and transformation projects
Challenge status quo and drive reporting innovation
Business partner in controlling/reporting function with the wider stakeholder group across finance and the business to optimise business steering via value added reporting
Act as a consultant to stakeholders when advising on best practice regarding presenting multiple data sets and tailoring reports to the necessary audience
Challenge & stress test data integrity to ensure quality provision of reporting at all times
Support the annual reporting cycle and compliance to all milestones
Be the sparring partner to Region Reporting Team Lead
Contribute towards shaping and executing reporting strategy for the region

Our Head Office is currently based next to Old Trafford but in early 2021 we will move to state of the art new premises at Circle Square in Central Manchester. We will continue to offer free parking for employees and will be located a short walk from Oxford Rd train station and St Peter's Square tram stop.

What you need is:
- We expect you to be a curious, pro-active team worker that is service oriented and likes to work together with different stakeholders (e.g. finance, marketing, sales, logistics). You will have a proven track record of driving business analysis on large projects and business initiatives, building complex data models to support with decision making and leading reporting transformation projects. Experience with SAP (e.g. SAP BW/BI) and SQL is a must. Knowledge of working with reporting/data platforms such as Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau etc. equally so; Programming languages such a Python, C# are of advantage.
