Project Sales Specialist - Construction
What's the role?
We're looking for a Project Sales Specialist for our construction team. You will have experience of pro-actively working with key decision makers such as contractors, relevant businesses and suppliers to understand their business needs and maximise sales.
The role will be based from and cover the geography of North East London including Tottenham, Barnet and surrounding areas.
This is no ordinary sales job, as ours is a uniquely high-performing and supportive working culture.
For example Hilti have been heavily involved in some major projects in the London and surrounding areas including the development of Battersea Power Station and Thames Tideway to name but a few. These are similar projects you could be working on.

What does the role involve?
Develop and grow the profitable sales of Hilti solutions across a Project Management portfolio
Develop clearly formulated strategies for your projects to generate measurable contributions to your customers and our profitability
Work pro-actively with key decision makers such as contractors, relevant businesses and suppliers to understand their business needs and maximise sales
Develop sales opportunities for both existing product range and new product
Increase engagement with customers for the long term - focusing mainly on the highly engaged customers to drive business through an Application focus
Work collaboratively with a Team Leader, Business Developer, Engineering and other support functions to maximize our sales opportunities on construction projects
Maintain a high self-drive and commitment to results always

Our Head Office is currently based next to Old Trafford but in early 2021 we will move to state of the art new premises at Circle Square in Central Manchester. We will continue to offer free parking for employees and will be located a short walk from Oxford Rd train station and St Peter's Square tram stop.

What you need is:
- Clear demonstration of understanding relationships within large projects
- Experience of Large Account management (e.g. agreements, rebates etc.)
- Ability to communicate at all levels within our organisations up to and including Director level
- Ability to learn new ideas/products and implement quickly
- Strong presentation skills
- A commitment to understanding the internal capabilities of Hilti to support the external environment and the challenges that our customers face
- Proven track record of sales experience with visible results or construction/site based experience via a previous position

Once you're in the formal process, there are three stages – a first interview with a Regional Manager, a day-in-the-life 'field ride' to give you a real feel for the job and a final interview with a Sales Director. We'll also pay your expenses if you have to travel to meet us.
