What's the role?
The Measuring Specialist is responsible for the profitable sales development of Hilti’s advanced layout products within London. You will coordinate efforts of the entire team of Account Managers, Regional Managers, Sales Directors, Field Engineers & marketing team members with the goal of developing leads and improving market reach of advanced layout.

We provide leading-edge tools, technologies, software and services for the professional construction sector. Our customers are loyal and enthusiastic about us. So are our people.
We regularly win Great Place to Work awards globally and are very proud to have been placed on the Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For list in the UK by our employees for the past 10 years.
Hilti offers the best of both worlds – friendly teams locally and roles across the UK combined with the opportunities only a company of 30,000 people spread across 120 countries can bring.
What does the role involve?
As the Measuring Specialist you will develop a tactical sales plan, create account specific sales strategies, drive sales force competencies, support the sales force by conducting product demonstrations, complete direct sales calls with customers and implement and steer product and marketing strategies in the application fields of advanced layout.
You will keep in close contact with customers to determine application, software and service needs and test new products, collect data and customer feedback and provide marketing support to ensure new products are developed according to industry and customer needs.
What do we offer?
We really value our people and we've worked hard to develop a competitive reward package that reflects this. Some of the benefits we offer include:

We have an excellent mix of people and some of our best account managers joined us with no experience. So, if you’ve never worked in sales or construction, that’s fine with us. Success at Hilti is down to teamwork and ability, no matter what your background.
What you need is:

- Customer centric focus: looking at the big picture, competition and project-specific applications to drive sales of advanced layout products
- Sound business acumen with a strong understanding of the GB construction market
- Ability to time manage effectively, prioritising opportunities and customer support
- Technical skills: in-depth product and application knowledge
- Proven successful territory management
- At ease with High-end measuring products and the ability to understand construction processes
- Ability to travel (including overnight stays) and work on construction job sites at all times of the year
Whilst we still wish to invite applications for roles and will conduct first stage telephone interviews, please note that due to the current situation we will not be holding a formal interview process for some weeks and we ask for your patience during this time. If you have been successful after initial screening you will be informed of our intention to interview you in due course.
“How am I going to sell power tools? I’ve never drilled a hole in my life! That’s what I thought when I first joined Hilti, but it’s really not like that. It’s about nurturing your strengths and being rewarded for hard work.”
